history

Sagritz was first mentioned in 1364 as "Sagericz". The place name comes from the Sorbian language and describes a settlement behind a mountain. A small manor belonged to the village . In 1794 Sagritz had a total of 15 so-called fire places . In the same year, the place was church parish in the neighboring Zützen. After the agreements of the Congress of Vienna , Sagritz came to the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815 , where the community belonged to the district of Luckau in the administrative district of Frankfurt .

After several changes of ownership, the Sagritz manor finally came to the Prussian major Eduard von Kleist in 1836 . He had the half-timbered houses in the village demolished and built two large barns with administrators' apartments in their place around 1840. In 1945 the manor was expropriated and Sagritz became part of the state-owned Sellendorf estate , from which it was used until 1990. In Sagritz, among other things, the estate's chickens and sheep were housed. On July 1, 1950, the place was incorporated into Zützen . On July 25, 1952, Sagritz was assigned to the newly formed Luckau district in the Cottbus district . After the reunification , the district was in the Luckau district in Brandenburg . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Sagritz was assigned to the newly formed district of Dahme-Spreewald . With the incorporation of Zützen on December 31, 2002, Sagritz came to the city of Golßen and was downgraded to a part of the municipality.

On August 30, 1992, Zützen and Sagritz were attached to the Golßener Land office. This merged on January 1, 2013 with the Unterspreewald office . As a result, the Golßener Land office was dissolved and the villages were reclassified into the newly formed Unterspreewald office .
