The Schenkenländchen office is an office in Brandenburg established in 1992 , in which ten municipalities in what was then the Königs Wusterhausen district (now in the Dahme-Spreewald district ) had come together to form an administrative association. Through community mergers and integrations, the number of communities has decreased to currently six. The name of the office is chosen after the historical area Schenkenländchen .
Geographical location
The office is located in the middle of the Dahme-Spreewald district . It borders in the west on the Teltow-Fläming district , in the north on the communities of Bestensee and Heidesee , in the east on the Oder-Spree district and in the south on the Unterspreewald office .
Municipalities and districts
The Schenkenländchen office is currently divided into six municipalities:
- Groß Köris with the districts of Klein Köris , Neubrück and Löpten
- Half with the districts of Briesen , Freidorf and Oderin
- Märkisch Buchholz (city) with the district Köthen
- Münchehofe with the districts of Birkholz and Hermsdorf
- Schwerin
- Teupitz (city) with the districts Egsdorf , Tornow and Neuendorf
history
On July 30, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg gave his approval for the creation of the Schenkenländchen office. August 10, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The office was initially located in the municipality of Halbe and consisted of ten municipalities in what was then the district of Königs Wusterhausen :
- Briesen,
- Freidorf,
- Groß Köris,
- Half,
- Soldering,
- City of Märkisch Buchholz,
- Münchehofe,
- Or in,
- Schwerin
- City of Teupitz.
On October 11, 1993, the town of Teupitz was set as the seat of the Schenkenländchen office.
On October 26, 2003 the communities of Briesen, Freidorf and Oderin were incorporated into the community of Halbe and the community of Löpten into the community of Groß Köris.
