Building description

West tower

The structure was essentially built from field stones that were not hewn and layered in layers. This is how the choir came into being , which has just moved in and not moved in. On its east wall there are three arched windows of the same size with plastered soffits, which should date from the construction period. There are no openings in the gable .

The nave has a rectangular floor plan. On the north side there are two large, pressed-segment arched windows that were created around 1675 and presumably replace two smaller previous openings. There are two rectangular extensions on the south side. They were built from brick, which was then plastered. The eastern extension serves as a sacristy and has a small, high-angle window on the eastern side. This is followed by two more windows on the nave side and a porch with a gate on its southern side. Nave and two annexes wearing a simple gable roof , which with beaver tail is covered.

The boarded west tower rises above the windowless west facade. The square top has a rectangular sound arcade on each side . Above it is a pyramid roof , which ends with a tower ball and weather vane with the inscription 1994.

Furnishing

The altarpiece dates from around 1720/1730 and is located in a medieval cafeteria . In the altarpiece is Crucifixion with Mary displayed. The top is modeled on an aedicule and decorated with pendants and acanthus on the cheeks. Above it is a cartridge that ends with a ray of glory and the name of God.

The pulpit consists of a polygonal, wooden pulpit and was created in the 19th century. The basket stands on a stone foot from the 17th century. The round fifth from 1673 is simple and stands on a square foot. It was probably created together with the base of the pulpit. Behind the altar is a church cabinet with pictures of the evangelists . The paintings date from the end of the 17th century and could originally have been the fields of a pulpit. On the north and west side there is a gallery with parapet paintings; the northern one probably dates from the 17th century.

The building has a flat roof and is decorated with a classicistic stucco painting from the middle of the 19th century.

In front of the north side of the nave, a memorial commemorates those who died in the world wars.
