The Marina Schlabendorf am See is a recreation and leisure center currently under development in Niederlausitz .

geography

The marina is located on Schlabendorfer See near Luckau in the south of the state of Brandenburg . As a flooded open pit, the lake is located north of the Lusatian Lakeland in the Lusatian lignite mining district. The water surface is approx. 600 ha. The Sielmanns natural landscape Wanninchen is located on the southeastern bank . In order to preserve the bird life, the lake is closed to motorboats and sustainable tourism is sought.

history

The construction of the Marina Schlabendorf am See took place in 2008 in the disused mine water purification plant as part of the “Schlabendorfer Fields” redevelopment plan. The port facility is intended to provide both the training conditions for the water sports club Schlabendorf e. V. as well as promoting the tourist development of Schlabendorf.

Freetime activities

The Schlabendorfer lake is a popular sailing region, since the flat, treeless shores and open countryside require good wind conditions. The tower of Schloss Zinnitz can be seen from the western shore of the lake ; a classicist castle with an English landscaped park , located a few hundred meters from the eastern shore of the lake and directly accessible via bike paths.

Mining law

Schlabendorfer See is still under mining law. Special safety regulations apply to water sports enthusiasts. Every water sports enthusiast must therefore be contacted by the water sports club Schlabendorf e. V. be instructed about the safety precautions and accept the terms of use.
