Vladimir Pavlovich Barmin
Vladimir Pawlowitsch Barmin ( Russian Владимир Павлович Бармин , born March 4, 1909 in Moscow , † July 17, 1993 ibid) was a Soviet engineer .
Life
Barmin was instrumental in building the world's first spaceport , the Baikonur Cosmodrome . In particular, he worked as an engineer on the construction of the first rocket launch pad in Baikonur . The asteroid (22254) Vladbarmin was named after him.
