The Wnuka-Gasthof ( Pol . Karczma U Wnuka ) was in the middle of 1850 Zakopane as a villa on the Kościeliska street of Józef Krzeptowski built in the Silesian-Spis style. It is considered one of the oldest preserved buildings in Zakopane. The inn has been a central meeting place for politically active Górals since 1870 . In 1904 the Association of Góralen was founded here.

Since 1907 the inn has belonged to Jan Wnuk , to whom the name goes back. The literal translation of the name as Gasthaus zum Enkel is therefore historically flawed, as Wnuk does not mean a grandson, but Jan Wnuk .

The building is a listed building and is part of the Small Poland Wooden Architecture Route .
