Wojciech Rafał Wiewiórowski (born June 13, 1971 in Łęczyca ) is a Polish lawyer and acting European data protection officer .

Wojciech Wiewiórowski studied law and administration at the University of Gdansk with a degree in 1995 and a doctorate in constitutional law in 2000. After working in publishing, from 2002 he was a lecturer at the Gdansk University of Administration. He became Assistant Professor and Head of IT at the Law Faculty of Gdansk University in 2003. He moved to the Polish administration in 2006 and worked there as a consultant for e-government and the information society, then from 2008 as director of the digitization department in the Ministry of the Interior. In 2010 and again in 2014 he was elected Polish data protection officer.

In 2014, the European Parliament and the European Council elected him as Deputy Data Protection Supervisor of the European Union. After the death of the previous data protection officer Giovanni Buttarelli , he took over his function as his deputy on August 21, 2019. He has been appointed European Data Protection Supervisor for the period from December 6, 2019 to December 5, 2024.
