Military publishing house of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation
The military publishing house of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation , formerly the military publishing house of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR , ( Russian Военное издательство МО РФ for short: Воениздат - Vojenisdat ) describes one of the largest Russian publishers , historical, historical, memoiristic and military-theoretical literature Publishes works on combat training and military technology, foreign-language dictionaries and fine art products (such as illustrated books, posters).
It was founded on October 25, 1919 in Moscow as a literary publisher of the Political Administration of the Republic , from 1924 it was called the “State Military Publishing House” and from 1936 “Military Publishing House of the People's Commissariat for Defense”. In 1968 the publishing house was awarded the Order of the Red Labor Banner.
Since December 2003 the military publishing house has been headed by Colonel Viktor Petrovich Akulenko.
