Wolfgang Berger (cabaret artist)

Wolfgang "Woife" Berger (born February 13, 1971 ) is a Lower Bavarian songwriter , music cabaret artist, humorist, actor , presenter , author and songwriter. He appears under his stage name "the forger".

Life

Berger was born as the first child of Wolfgang Berger (forklift driver) and Roswitha Berger, née Peteratzinger, in the Lower Bavarian district of Rottal-Inn, where he still lives today. In 1999 he married Roswitha Berger-Emhee, with whom he had their daughter Julia in 2001. Berger learned the profession of reinforced concrete constructor in 1986 and after his civil service in 1992 he learned the profession of nurse. He has performed as a cabaret artist since 1991 .

Projects

Berger started as a cabaret artist in 1991 with the cabaret group s`Ohrlabberl, in which he was involved in 10 programs. In 1993 he founded the songwriting duo "Die Fälscher" with Anton Brunner, from which Brunner left four years later. Berger brought in Peter Kummerer, who left after a year. Berger decided to continue performing as the soloist "Der Fälscher". He does that to this day. In 2006 he founded the swing trio "That's Life" with Florian Krenner and Günter Pilzweger. Berger was the lead singer. In 2009 this formation separated. With Florian Krenner he founded the group "Bigger Bang", with which he again offers light music as the front singer. Bigger Bang still performs today. In 2008 Berger started his own business as an artist and gave up the job of a nurse for the time being. In 2009 Berger wrote a children's program about "Kobold Freddy" and performed with it at elementary schools. At the same time he also wrote the program "The Values & Mobbing Show", which is used to prevent bullying in schools. These two projects are still ongoing today. Since 2009 he has been booked as an actor for various films. In 2016 he founded the Bavarian blues rock band "Woife & KJ mit de Andern" together with Kajetan "KJ" Löffler. This formation also occurs to this day. In 2018 Berger wrote his first book and took a liking to the role of the author.

Over the years Berger wrote a weekly newspaper column for the Rottaler Wochenblatt (14 months) and played a biweekly TV cabaret column (18 months) for the local broadcaster DonauTV. From 2015 to 2019 he moderated the Bodenmaiser Glashüttenbrettl for DonauTV, since 2017 the entertainment show "Woifes Lokschuppen" and since 2018 the Burgkirchen talent factory.
