Wolfgang Henseler
Wolfgang Henseler (* 1952 in Erftstadt-Bliesheim ) has been the full-time mayor of the city of Bornheim since October 12, 2004 . In this function he is also head of administration and chairman of the city council .
Life
Wolfgang Henseler grew up in Cologne , Aachen and Linnich . In 1974 he joined the SPD . He has lived in Bornheim since 1981. He is married and has three grown children.
Professional
Wolfgang Henseler holds a degree in administration (FH) . On October 10, 2004, he was elected mayor of Bornheim with 57% of the vote. He took office two days later. In 2009 he was re-elected as mayor with 63.5% and in 2014 with 54% of the vote.
Local politics
He has been active in local politics for over 25 years. During this time he was a member of various committees and commissions. Before he took office as mayor, he was a member of the Bornheim City Council for 15 years and deputy mayor for 5 years.
