Wolfgang Scherf

Wolfgang Scherf (born April 1, 1956 in Trier ) is a German economist .

From 1975 to 1980 he studied economics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. After graduating in 1980, he was promoted to Dr. rer. pole. in 1986 and his habilitation in economics in 1993. Since 1996, Wolfgang Scherf has held the professorship for economics II with a focus on public finance at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. In addition, from 2002–2011 he was head of studies at the Administration and Business Academy (VWA) in Giessen.
