Wolfgang Tepper

Wolfgang Tepper (born February 7, 1941 ) is a former German boxer .

Career

Tepper played a total of 235 boxing matches between 1953 and 1966. He belonged to the Weseler BC and was 1958 German junior lightweight champion. In 1960 he won the German championship in Cologne in the same weight class. The following year he entered the light welterweight class at the German championship in Berlin and took third place. In 1964 he took part with other boxers from Wesel and the Lower Rhine in Bulgaria in a match against the local national team. From 1977 to 1987 or according to other information in 1988 he was active as a trainer at Weseler BC. In the Niederrheinhalle in Wesel he organized international boxing events with up to 4,000 spectators while he was a coach.
