The Wondjina or Wandjina are in the mythology of the natives of Australia ( Aborigines ) cloud and rain spirits who painted their pictures on cave walls in the dream time . These pictures show her with eyes and nose, but without a mouth. Today their spirits are still in ponds. One of the wondjina , Walaganda , became the Milky Way according to Aboriginal beliefs . Pictures that show these mythological beings are assigned to the "Wondjina style".
