WordWorld is a Canadian - American computer animated television series . It was first broadcast on September 3, 2007 on TVOKids (Canada) and PBS Kids (USA).

WordWorld is a preschool series whose animal heroes were supposed to bring the viewers to letters and first words. The animals are shaped like their names and in each of the adventures they explain to the audience how the letters are pronounced and these together form the names of the animals as they spell their names. The main character is Duck , who still has to learn a lot of words and many other things. He is helped by his friends, the clever frog , the versatile sheep , the cheerful Pig and his friend the hardworking Ant and the dog, who is always ready to play .

The series was created at WTTW National Productions based on a concept by Jacqueline Moody and Don Moody . Directed by Olexa Hewryk and Don Moody, the lead author was Dan Danko . Alex Kay and Olexa Hewryk were responsible as producers , the character design comes from Greg Huculak and the artistic direction was with Mehul Hirani . The music was composed by Billy Straus and Morgan-William Turner and Romeo Alaeff were responsible for the editing .

The 45 episodes were broadcast in three seasons. The first season of 26 episodes was first shown from September 3, 2007 to December 1, 2008 by TVOKids in Canada and PBS Kids in the United States. The second season with 14 episodes then followed from February 13 to December 28, 2009. The third season with five episodes was finally shown from October 4, 2010 to January 17, 2011. WordWorld also aired in Australia and the Disney Channel in Japan.
