World Athletics Label Road Races (2019 IAAF Label Road Races ) is the World Association of Athletics Federations World Athletics (2019 IAAF introduced) 2,008 sorting of road races . In the first two years, World Athletics awarded the gold and silver labels to the selected running events . The bronze label has also existed since 2010 and platinum since 2020 .

In order to benefit from one of the labels, some organizational criteria must be met. The route must be measured, safety and medical standards must be met, and there must be a good infrastructure for the media. The decisive factors which label a run receives are the number of top runners and the amount of international television coverage.

In 2015, a total of 88 running events received one of these labels:

Distances gold silver bronze total
marathon 27 15th 13 55
half marathon 10 6th 2 18th
≈20 km 0 1 1 2
10 miles 1 1 0 2
10 km 5 3 2 10
5 km 0 1 0 1

With ten runs, most of them were in Japan.
