The World Kickboxing Federation (WKF) is one of the international professional associations for the sport of kickboxing . The WKF was founded in 1965 and has had a European board since 2008. The Austrian Fritz Exenberger has been World director / CEO since 2011.

In December 2017, the WKF had 142 national associations as members, which were divided into six continental associations: Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America and North America.

The WKF differentiates between amateur and professional kickboxing with the disciplines of semi contact (also called point fighting) and light contact as a mat sport. In ring sports full contact , lowkick, K-1 and Thai boxing.

Continental championships (e.g. European championships) and world championships are held alternately. In addition to World Cups and international tournaments organized.

The WKF maintains a world ranking list of professionals for PRO-AM, ring sports and MMA. PPF - Pro Point fighting has been offered since January 1st, 2011 . This means that the very numerous semi-contact point fighters are upgraded and have the opportunity to fight for real, recognized PPF titles.

All WKF rankings are updated weekly.

In March 2018, Moldova (WKF EUROPE) became the 143rd member country.
