World Scientific Publishing is a science publisher headquartered in Singapore . It was founded in 1981 and is one of the leading academic publishing houses. A particular focus is on the Asia-Pacific region.

You publish books and magazines in the scientific (especially natural science), technical and medical fields as well as in economics. Around 500 books are published annually and the publishing house owns 125 journals (including electronic journals). The publisher has branches in the United States (New Jersey, California), London, Geneva, China (Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin , Hong Kong), Taiwan ( Taipei ), Sydney and India ( Chennai ).

The publishing house has been working with the Nobel Foundation since 1991 and publishes writings by Nobel Prize winners in physics, chemistry, physiology, medicine, peace and literature. He thus succeeded Elsevier , who published the writings until 1970. Since many editions were considered out of print for a long time and were not reprinted, the publisher was also granted the right to reprint the earlier editions.

In 1995 they founded the Imperial College Press with Imperial College in London. Other imprints include Stallion Press, Hindustan Book Agency, Global Publishing and the publishing house of the Mathematical Society of Japan .
