content

The series is about the kindergarten child Sabine Irmingard Anneliese Müller, who was nicknamed Wumme by her father because she always asked “Why?” As a little girl. At that time, however, she could not pronounce the "R" and therefore only said "Wumm?" Although she can now pronounce the "R", the nickname has stayed with her. “Why?” Is still her favorite question.

In the first episode, Wummes mother has to go to the hospital, where she later dies. Wumme and her now single father master everyday life together.
