Wuna , also Wunna or Wina , (* 7th century in Wessex in England, † around 700 in England) is the name of a Catholic saint . The name Wuna means " The Joyful ". Her real name is unknown, she has only been called Wuna since the Middle Ages.

Life

According to tradition, Wuna was the wife of St. Richard , and both are said to be of noble class. She was the mother of three children venerated as saints: Walburga , Willibald and Wunibald . According to some sources, she was related or even the sister of Boniface . She is not venerated even in the diocese of Eichstätt, where her three children worked. There are very few depictions of her.

Her feast day is on February 7th.
