Root cuttings

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The root section Ling is a mode of reproduction, which is applied to plants that have fleshy roots.

In autumn, the roots are separated from the mother plant as thick as a pencil or a finger . They are wrapped in moist peat and stored in a cool / frost-free place. In winter these root pieces are cut into 8 cm long pieces and put in boxes in a sand-peat mixture. The cuttings are now covered with moderately moist soil about 2 cm high. The soil must be kept moderately moist throughout the winter . The boxes should be stored in a cool place at the beginning so as not to get too intense root growth at the beginning. From the point at which they shoot above ground, the crates must receive sufficient light.
