[x] -Rx is an electronic music project that combines a dark rave sound with a hardstyle touch and hard rhythms.

Band history

[x] -Rx was founded in 2006 by Pascal Beniesch in Cologne. With the club hit Disco Distortion , which was published in 2006 on the series Extreme Sündenfall , [x] -Rx caught the attention of the Pronoize label . The track Die Sexualkiste der Hölle , which sampled the public speeches of a pedestrian zone preacher from Braunschweig, became an underground hit at the end of 2007 and was released on the album Impossible Exciting . Also this year [x] -Rx had their first international appearance at the Summer Darkness Festival in the Netherlands.

This was followed by the second album Stage 2 in early 2009 , the album Update 3.0 on July 9, 2010 , the album Activate the Machinez in spring 2012 and the album Crank it up on November 28, 2014 .

The reception is mixed, scene media attest the works consistently good danceability, but criticize the high musical redundancy and lack of innovation.
