XBlast is a network-compatible multi-player game (for up to 6 players) that was originally written (1993) by Marc Oliver Vogel for the X11 R5 / R6. The game principle is based on the Bomberman game series . The aim of the game is to destroy the opponents within the field maze with cleverly placed bombs. These have different strength and range and not only end the "life" of the opponent, but also blast paths through the labyrinth. At the end of each level there is only one player left. In the years that followed, the game was repeatedly expanded to include levels, functions and graphic elements (3D rendering of the game characters, etc.) and is now also available for Windows .

XBlast is under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
