The XM1206 Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV) (dt. Infantry transport vehicle ) was a project of the United States Army . It was part of the Future Combat Systems program . If it had been implemented, it would have become part of the military global information grid . With the termination of the FCS program by Defense Secretary Robert Gates, the project was discontinued.

System description

Four versions have been developed:

  • Company Commander ICV
  • Platoon Leader ICV
  • Weapons Squad ICV
  • Rifle Squad ICV

The vehicle with two man operating crew should be up to nine soldiers carry and with a machine gun will be equipped with caliber 30th Since the armor was only supposed to withstand ammunition up to caliber 30 mm , distance-active protective measures against anti-tank weapons were provided.
