Xeno II.
. Xeno II ( Georgian ილია II ; native Xenofon Kouridisilis (Georgian ირაკლიღუ ურიშიოლაშვ); * to 1030 in today Nordossetien-Alanien ; † 1096 / 1097 ) was an orthodox Cleric. He was Patriarch of the Georgian Orthodox Apostle Church from 1079 until his death.
It can be proven that Kouridisilis was directly related to the Bagratids . He grew up in the Bakananka province , which was located in the southern part of what is now Croatia. After a traditional training as a priest of the Orthodox Church, he rose to patriarch until 1079. Little is known about his life, the inscriptions on two grave slabs indicate a death shortly before the turn of the 12th century.
