Xiahou En

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Xiahou En ( Chinese  夏侯 恩 , * 167 ; † 208 ) was a general of the Wei Dynasty at the time of the Three Kingdoms in ancient China.

Little is known about his life from historical sources; only its existence is certain. For this, his character gets in the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong little more significance. He is a cousin of Wei Generals Xiahou Dun and Xiahou Yuan and acts as Cao Cao's swordtail. During the battle of Changban , he is slain by Zhao Yun , who takes the sword and offers it to his master Liu Bei .
