Xiaotaoyuan Mosque

The Xiaotaoyuan Mosque (Xiaotaoyuan qinzhensi 小桃园 清真寺; "Mosque of the garden of small peaches"; English Peach Orchard Mosque) is a mosque in the east Chinese city of Shanghai . It is located in the Huangpu District . The mosque is one of the most important Muslim sacred buildings in the city.

history

The original Xiaotaoyuan Mosque was founded in 1917 by Jin Ziyun , the director of the Shanghai Islamic Board. It will be rebuilt in 1925 and will be completed two years later in its current state. This is where the Shanghai Islamic University was previously located.
