Johann Stephan Burgermeister , called von Deizisau (born December 10, 1663 in Geislingen an der Steige , † 1722 in Ulm ) was a German lawyer.

Burgermeister was born as the son of a merchant from Geislingen, which at that time belonged to the free imperial city of Ulm. He attended grammar school in Ulm and then studied law in Marburg, Wittenberg, Strasbourg and Heidelberg until 1687. In 1688 he was licensed in Tübingen and in 1691 doctor of law. 1696 legal advisor and 1698 syndic of the Swabian free imperial knighthood in the canton Neckar-Black Forest and ducal council of Württemberg. In 1706 he went to Ulm as a legal advisor , where he remained until his death.

Burgermeister wrote several writings as a zealous defender of the privileges of the free imperial knighthood. His eldest son, Wolfgang Paul , also became a legal scholar.

Johann Stephan Burgermeister was married to Katharina Barbara Burgermeister, née Schweder (* 1676, † February 2, 1763).
