Xindonga is the collective name chosen by Portuguese ethnologists for four small peoples who settle in the extreme southeast of Angola : the Cusso (Mbukushu), the Dilico (or Dirico), the Sambio and the Maxico. These ethnic groups live in the sparsely populated area that is now part of the Cuando Cubango Province , side by side with other groups belonging to the Ovambo , Ganguela or Khoisan . They practice arable farming for self-sufficiency, to supplement small animal breeding and occasionally fishing.
