Xinhui (Pengxi)

Xinhui ( 新 会 镇 , Xīnhuì Zhèn ) is a large community in the southwest of the People's Republic of China . It belongs to the administrative area of Pengxi County , which in turn is subordinate to the prefecture -level city of Suining in Sichuan Province . The large community has an area of ​​36.9 square kilometers, about 20,600 inhabitants (2017) and is located about 7 km east of the center of Pengxi.

The large community was founded in 1954 and was named Xinhui, or "New Assembly" , in the course of the socialist construction . In 1992, the previously existing Shandong (上 东镇) community was incorporated into Xinhui.

Xinhui is divided into 20 administrative villages and a community of residents . The villages are:

Agriculture is the main industrial factor in the large community. In 2017, 7,000 hectares of rice, 8,000 hectares of maize, 1,900 hectares of sweet potatoes, 2,900 hectares of soy, 3,000 hectares of peanuts and 6,200 hectares of wheat (also staggered on the same acreage) were grown. To reduce poverty, programs were organized to set up smaller facilities for poultry, cattle and sheep breeding for meat production.
