Xinpu ( Chinese  新浦区 , Pinyin Xīnpǔ Qū ) was a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Lianyungang in the northeast of the Chinese province of Jiangsu . It had an area of ​​259 km² and had a population of around 324,500 (2004). It was the center and seat of the Lianyungang city government.

Administrative structure

At the community level, the municipality was made up of six street districts, a large municipality and three municipalities. In May 2014, Xinpu was dissolved and its area was added to the Haizhou District .
