Xochiquetzal ( "flower feather" ) was the Aztec goddess of the moon, earth, flowers, love, dances and games.

She was the patron goddess of female handicrafts and the calendar goddess of the twentieth day of the month. She is the twin sister of Xochipilli and her husband is Tlaloc . Tezcatlipoca kidnapped her and made her goddess of love. Every eight years it was the focus of a festival with mask dances in which animals and plants "performed".
