Xontro

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Xontro is an order routing - and trading system for securities transactions , which in floor trading of the stock exchanges in Germany is used.

Xontro is the electronic, broker-based trading system of the five German lead broker exchanges ( Berlin Stock Exchange , Düsseldorf Stock Exchange , Hamburg Stock Exchange , Hanover and Munich Stock Exchange ). It enables trading in all listed national and international securities . Around half of all cash market transactions are processed via Xontro. It is operated by BrainTrade, a subsidiary of all German stock exchanges.

The distinguishing feature between floor trading and electronic trading ( e.g. Xetra ) is not the use of computers. Floor trading in New York, for example, has been massively upgraded with electronics. The main differentiator is the trading model; H. the rules to be used in trading.

The Frankfurt Stock Exchange has on 23 May 2011 converted floor trading to the Xetra system, thereby ending the use of Xontro.

The Stuttgart Stock Exchange switched to the Xitaro system in September 2015 and thus ended the use of Xontro.
