Yōshin-ryū

Yōshin-ryū ( Japanese 楊 心 流 ) is Japanese and means something like "willow tree heart school".

The name is part of various Japanese martial arts, some of which are historically related:

Hontai Yōshin Ryū - Takagi Ryū line

  • Hontai Yōshin Ryū ( 本體 楊 心 流 ), main line of the willow tree heart school
  • Motoha Yōshin Ryū ( 本 派 楊 心 流 ), original branch of the Willow Tree Heart School
  • Takagi Ryū ( 高木 流 柔 術 ), Takagi School, sister school of the Hontai Yōshin Ryū and the Motoha Yōshin Ryū
  • Takagi Yoshin Ryu ( 高木 揚 心 流 柔 ), High Willow Tree Spirit School Branch School of Bujinkan, Jinenkan and Genbukan
