Yūji Kakiuchi ( Japanese 垣 内 友 二 , Kakiuchi Yūji ; born August 31, 1969 in Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kakiuchi learned to play soccer on the school team at Fujisawa Kita High School . His first contract was signed with Toho Titanium SC . In 1992 he switched to Kyoto Shiko (today: Kyoto Purple Sanga). The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . In 1995 he was runner-up with the club in the Japan Football League and rose to the J1 League . For the club he completed 62 games. In 1997 he moved to Albirex Niigata . At the end of 1998 he ended his career as a football player.
