The Persian-language magazine Yadgar ( Persian یادگار, DMG Yādgār , “Andenken” / “Monument”) appeared from 1944 to 1949 in a total of 50 issues in Tehran. Its editor was Abbas Iqbal (1896–1955), a Persian historian and nationalist. In terms of content, the magazine specialized in literary and, above all, historical research on Iran .
