Support for the concerns of the Bhikkhuni Sangha in as many countries as possible is defined as a core area. In addition to articles by authors from different countries, there is an editorial by the abbess of Wat Songdhammakalyani and reports on Thailand's only Bhikkhuni monastery as well as poems and other contributions by Dhammananda Bhikkhuni.

The magazine, which takes its title from the name of Princess Yasodhara - the wife of Siddhartha Gautama  - has been published since 1984.
