The Yebes Observatory (Centro Astronómico de Yebes, CAY) near Yebes in the province of Guadalajara is the location of a 40-m radio telescope (ARIESXXI). It is operated by the Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN), the Spanish geodetic service, and the OAN (Observatorio Astronomico Nacional).

The 40 m telescope is a member of EVN (European VLBI Network), the Global mm-VLBI Array and RadioAstron . It was completed in 2005 and saw first light in 2007 . It is used, for example, to observe colder regions in the galaxy such as places where stars are formed, and the center is also used for geodetic purposes. In addition to the large Yebes telescope, there is also a large 30 m radio telescope operated by IRAM on the Pico del Veleta in Spain .

The technical development center (CDT) has another radio telescope, a gravimeter , a telescope for observing the sun and an astrograph .
