Yevgeniya Safronova

Yevgeniya Safronova (* 1977 in Dnipropetrovsk , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian , internationally active artist .

Life

Yevgeniya Safronova studied fine arts from 1999 to 2006 at the Art Academy in Münster . In 2001 she received a travel grant and went to Israel to the Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem. In 2004 she graduated as a master student in Ulrich Erben's class at the Münster Art Academy. In 2007 she received a teaching position for cross-border artistic processes at the University of Duisburg-Essen . Yevgeniya Safronova has been Professor of Sculpture / Sculpture at the University of Fine Arts in Essen since 2015 .

Yevgeniya Safronova is a. a. with fundamental questions of the sculptural, such as the relationship between the plastic volume and space, with surface, contour, repetition and movement. Often her sculptures have crystalline, honeycomb or knot-like structures, others are reminiscent of loops or loops. The forms often developed in series of works are imaginary, but contain echoes of nature or man-made things. In a smaller format they are made of plaster or plastic, in larger dimensions in epoxy resin.
