Yewa (Yegua) is the orisha of chastity and virginity and death in the religion of the Yoruba . Her father Obatala wanted her to be chaste. When Shango falls in love with her, Obatala sends her to the cemetery, whose "real mistress" she is. Yewa represents the grave.
