KK Yoshinoya ( Japanese 株式会社 吉野 家 , Kabushiki-gaisha Yoshinoya ) is a Japanese fast-food chain based in Kita , Tokyo , which was founded in 1899.

Yoshinoya is the largest food service provider specializing in Gyūdon and at the same time one of the largest chains in Japan. The company's motto is “cheap, fast, delicious”. In Asia and the Pacific has Yoshinoya over 700 restaurants. The chain is represented in Japan , the People's Republic of China , Taiwan , Singapore , Malaysia , Thailand , Hong Kong and Australia . The first restaurant outside of Japan was in 1979 in the United States in Los Angeles opened. Yoshinoya now operates over 1,000 restaurants across California .

Remarks

  1. The proper spelling ? for uses the component ( soil ) instead of ( scholar ) in the upper part . Since this is only a special spelling ( variant ) of the name, which is normally only poorly supported by Japanese fonts, the name is usually written with the character .
