The Río Yuna is a river in the Dominican Republic . With a length of 138 km, the river is the second longest river in the country. During the floods in 2000 and 2004 people died and shelters were destroyed.
The river has its source on a mountain of the Cordillera Central northwest of the city of Bonao . It meanders northeast and grows larger as it flows through the town of Cotuí . It flows into the sea at the Bay of Samaná in the northeast of the country.
