Yusuf Salman
Yusuf Salman (* 1888 in Thessaloniki , † November 28, 1960 in Yassıada ) was a Turkish politician of the Jewish faith.
Yusuf Salman was born in Thessaloniki in what was then the Ottoman Empire in 1888 . In the parliamentary elections in Turkey in 1957, he was elected to the Turkish Grand National Assembly as a member of the Turkish Democratic Party (DP) for Istanbul . After the military coup of May 27, 1960 , he was arrested and taken to the Prince Island of Yassıada in the Sea of Marmara .
He died while in prison on November 28, 1960 in Yassıada.
