The large community Zêtang ( Tibetan རྩེ་ ཐང་ , transcription after Wylie : rtsed thang , also Tsethang , Chinese 澤當 鎮 / 泽当 镇 , Pinyin Zédàng zhèn ) is a large community in the Nêdong district of the city of Shannan in the Tibet Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China . It is the seat of the Shannan District Government. Zêtang is located on the south bank of the central Yarlung Tsangpo , the cradle of Tibetan civilization.
