The Tsethang convent ( Tib. Rtses Thang dgon pa ) or Pel Tsethang ( Tib. Dpal rtses Thang ) or Nedong convent is one of the first-houses the Phagdru Kagyu -branch of the Kagyu -Schule of Tibetan Buddhist .
It is in the greater community Zentan (Tsethang) in the district of Nedong (Nedong) of the district of Shannan in Tibet Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China .
The monastery was founded by Changchub Gyeltshen ( Tib. Ta'i si tu byang chub rgyal mtshan ) 1351 founded. It is located near the Densa Thil monastery , the most important monastery of the Phagmodrupa , from which it differed in its teaching content.
