The central reception facility for asylum seekers in Northern Bavaria is located at Rothenburger Strasse 31, Zirndorf , Bavaria . The initial reception facility is designed for 500 people, but is also occupied by 800 people or more, which is made possible by additional tents. In addition, asylum seekers are distributed to the surrounding districts and urban districts. The Bundeswehr soldier Franco A., who was arrested in the course of the terror investigations against Bundeswehr soldiers from 2017 , applied for asylum here in January 2016 .
