ZFB Foundation

The ZFB Foundation was a non-profit foundation under private law in Germany that promoted the preservation of valuable cultural assets , in particular books, archives, documents and maps.

The foundation was established on February 28, 2002. It was named after the Center for Book Preservation (ZFB), Leipzig.

It served to inform the public about the high need for conservation and restoration measures , provided funding through grants and cultural prizes, supported libraries, museums and archives in the implementation of donation and fundraising campaigns, and supported research and development work in the field of restoration and conservation of graphics -, archive and library goods.

The foundation was transferred to the Leipzig Cultural Foundation in 2015 with the entire foundation assets.
