ZOOlenovela , (sometimes also written ZOOle novela ), was an entertainment program produced in Germany by the Cologne-based TV station and special interest channel GIGA Digital , which only showed animal enclosures, animals and the grounds of the Duisburg Zoo .

Under the motto: “ Animally different! “The show started. Following the restructuring of the station, the first broadcast took place on September 30, 2005, always between 10:00 and 12:00. From Monday to Sunday, the broadcast showed a wide variety of animal enclosures, animals and the grounds of the Duisburg Zoo using different camera settings. Among other things, specials of the format were broadcast, for example there was also a ZOOlenovela X-Mas special. The special thing about the show was that it only consisted of pictures and did not include any moderation. There was only a background music with current chart music.

As a result of further program optimization at GIGA , the program was initially removed from the program following a program relaunch. Since mid-January 2006, GIGA has been broadcasting the music format Yavido Clips instead of ZOOlenovela . Almost a year later, from October 23, 2006, the program was again on GIGA's program. New episodes from the Duisburg Zoo were broadcast daily on the broadcast slot from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. In some cases, individual episodes of the day were even repeated at midnight. In the end, this new addition to the program did not last long either. In the course of the introduction of further new formats (ROFL TV and Spam deluxe), which started at GIGA in January 2007, the broadcaster removed the ZOOlenovela from the program again. The hiring took place on January 8, 2007.
