Zarf was a Turkish volume and grain measure for liquids and dry goods.

  • 1 Zarf = ½ Kutu = 2.313 liters
    • 1 kutu = 4.625 liters
    • 32 kutu = 1 fortin
    • 16 Sinik = 1 Fortin = 148 liters
    • 1 Sinik / Schinik = 2 Kutu = 4 Zarf = 9.25 liters

After the introduction of the metric system, a Zarf was only 0.1 liters.
