Two small mines were operated in Bommern under the name of Zeche Argus . Very little is known about these mines, these are the Argus and Argus I.

The Argus colliery was only in operation for a few months from July 15, 1954 to September 10 of the same year. The owner of this small mine was Argus Bergbau GmbH.

The Argus I mine was mentioned in the documents in 1925. It was located near the Bommerbänker Tiefbau colliery. Probably only insignificant mining was carried out.
