from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ten whiskeys and one soda is a pseudonym / alias of the German hit and hit jazz band Comedian Quartet, under which this was particularly successful in the early 1950s . Her single Wir, wir, wir, haben ein Klavier was released in 1953 and became a number one hit in Germany.

History of the band

The Comedien Quartet was founded in 1947 as a successor to the master sextet, which was dissolved in 1941 . Herbert Imlau , Karl-Heinz Nowak, Fred Ritter and Wolf-Werner Schliebitz, who came from Karl Golgowsky’s circle, were among its members . The quartet released their recordings under various names such as Ten Whiskeys and One Soda , The Vodkas and Singing Starfish . In addition, they were also active under their own name and appeared as accompaniment to various interpreters (e.g. for Bibi Johns ' hit Bella Bimba ). Later they were part of the bands Die Sieben Raben and Die Ponny-Boys .

They had their greatest success in 1954 with the hit We, we, we, have a piano , which topped the German single charts of the magazine Automatenmarkt in March and April 1954.
